Searching is Learning is a project about search, search skills, teaching search, learning how to search, learning how to use Google effectively, and learning how to do research.
To quote Google research scientist Dan Russell, the future of asking questions is knowing what is possible. It requires 3 things:
- Knowing what information is available
- Knowing the tools that are available to you
- That you ask questions and are curious about the world.
We are going to use this space to explore these ideas.
Searching is Learning is published by Sebastien Marion, a university librarian at New York Tech with more than 20 years experience in higher education. I am building a newsletter, tools database and YouTube channel. I hope you’ll check them out.
